There are four ways to log your steps in the Steptember app:
Manual logging
Activity converter
In-built tracker
Syncing from health app
Note: Make sure to choose either steps or activities for each entry - combining both in a single entry isn't supported and may cause errors.
Manual Logging
In the Steptember app click ‘LOG STEPS’
Select 'Steps' to enter your steps count (e.g. data from another tracking device like a wearable or pedometer).
Click 'LOG STEPS'.
You can choose to 'Post to Feed' and add an optional description and photo, or select 'Skip' to save and continue.
Activity Converter
In the Steptember app click ‘LOG STEPS’.
Select ‘Activity’ to choose the activity type and duration - your steps will be automatically calculated.
Click 'Log Activity'.
You can choose to 'Post to Feed' and add an optional description and photo, or select 'Skip' to save and continue.
In-Built Tracker
In the Steptember app click ‘LOG STEPS’.
Select ‘Start Tracking’ to open the apps in-built step tracker.
Press 'Start' to begin tracking your steps.
When you're finished, press 'Stop' and select 'Confirm' - your activity will be recorded automatically.
You will have the option to add a description and photo before clicking 'Save Activity'.
Note:
Location permissions must be enabled for the tracker to work.
Activities shorter than 200m cannot be recorded.
Steps recorded using the tracker will be deducted from health app totals to avoid duplication.
Syncing from Health App
In the Steptember app click ‘LOG STEPS’.
Select 'Sync from Apple Health' (iOS users) or 'Sync from Google Health' (Android users).
Select the date you wish to sync steps from and then select ‘Sync Steps’.
You can choose to 'Post to Feed' and add an optional description and photo, or select 'Skip' to save and continue.
