Apple Health duped steps

Our developers have identified an issue affecting some Apple Watch users where steps sent from Apple Health to the Steptember App may be duplicated or miscounted. Normally, Apple Health provides a “filtered” step count based on your priority settings, but in some cases, this hasn’t been applied correctly.

We have already implemented a fix, which is included in the upcoming app version 8.20.2 (146). This update is currently awaiting approval in the App Store.

In the meantime, please:

  • Keep an eye out for the update on the App Store (Apple does not provide release timing).

  • Once available, log out of the Steptember App, install the update, and log back in to ensure the fix applies.
