Following an update to the security process used to protect your Steptember account, some users may experience the app connection being “reset.” When this happens, the app may not load and instead show a greyed-out screen (see example below).
Please rest assured that your data is safe and has not been deleted.
How to fix it now:
Tap the menu (top left corner - 3 lines).
Select Sign Out.
Sign back in - this will refresh your security credentials and the app should start working again.
We have already implemented a permanent fix, which will be included in app version 8.20.2 (146). This update is awaiting approval in the App Store.
In the meantime, please:
Keep an eye out for the update on the App Store (Apple does not provide release timing).
Once available, log out of the Steptember App, install the update, and log back in to ensure the fix applies.
