Leaderboards

How to view the leaderboards

Updated over a week ago

All participants in Steptember can view leaderboards via their dashboard, providing different views of performance.

Types of Leaderboards

There are two main types:

  • Public Leaderboards – show the overall rankings of all organisations.

  • My Leaderboards – display only your organisation’s individuals, teams, and departments.

Accessing the Public Leaderboard

  1. No login is required.

  2. You’ll see categories such as:

    • Top Steppers: rankings by total steps of individuals or teams.

    • Top Fundraisers: rankings by total funds raised by individuals or teams.

Accessing “My” Leaderboard (for logged-in users)

  1. Log in and go to your dashboard.

  2. Choose from three options:

    • My Leaderboard – shows individual participants within your organisation.

    • My Team Leaderboard – shows your team’s ranking (if you are in a team).

    • My Org Leaderboard – shows departmental rankings within your organisation.

  3. Use the “Next” button to navigate through additional pages if many entries are present.

Note: Leaderboards update hourly; recent steps or donations may not appear immediately.

For Organisation Coordinators

If you are the organisation coordinator, you can view each individual’s progress:

  • In the dashboard, click “Organisation” from the dropdown near your name.

  • Then select “Organisation Members” to inspect each individual’s fundraising page and current status.

  • If a member or team are not showing it could mean they need to be linked to your organisation.

Best Practices for Accurate Tracking

  • Encourage all team members to complete registration promptly. Steps logged by unregistered participants will not count.

  • Prompt members to log steps daily for accurate reporting.

Note: You cannot see an individual’s daily step count; only their current total step count and step goal are visible on their fundraising page.

Troubleshooting: Organisation Progress Bar Not Updating

If your organisation’s progress bar is not increasing even though members are walking and logging steps:

  1. Confirm all members have completed registration; unregistered steps won’t be recorded.

  2. Remember: the fundraising progress bar is driven by donations raised, not by steps taken.
